During the summer of 2015, I interned as a sales/customer service representative with Entertainment Cruises in Chicago. It was there, I learned all the skills and qualities it takes to execute my sales techniques to convert the maximum number of calls into sales. I learned how to up-sell and how to navigate around the software program we used to schedule reservations for guests who wished to dine on 1 of 7 ships in 8 different cities EC operates in (Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, Weehawken, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Norfolk and Boston). I participated in job shadows with the marketing and large events departments and ended up selling over $40,000 worth of cruise rides over the course of my internship.
