During the summer of 2016, I was selected to be a part of the prestigious Lewis Summer Intern Program through the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago. I interned with the nonprofit, InterfaithFamily Chicago, as my placement for 4 days a week. With IFF, I managed the Twitter account, created a high holiday card, attended meetings a couple times a week with the Executive Director regarding Interfaith business, and wrote 2 blogs that were published on the IFF website. Blogs can be found in the “Published Works” section above.
Once a week, I met with the 50 other Lewis Summer interns and we attended seminars that expanded our knowledge in business efficacy and networking. I was also assigned to a project with 4 other interns to research on expanding Jewish identity through social media that was presented to the cohort. One of the blogs I wrote for IFF was published in the August 2016 edition of JUF News.
